The bluest skies you’ve ever seen. The most perfect day you could ever wish to see. This is Annabel and Dean, and a day that will live long in my memory.
We begin back in 2013 when I shot Jess and Sammy‘s incredible wedding just a few miles down the road from here. Annabel booked me because of that wedding, and the circle was completed on Saturday as I arrived at Annabel and Dean’s beautiful home in the village of Broughton Gifford. I was greeted like an old friend, and that continued throughout the day. Sarah Brock was working her magic on Annabel, Sophie and Alex. Gentlemen, you could not find three more beautiful women if you searched for the rest of your lives. Add the fact that all three are immense fun and my job became very easy once more. I’ll talk more about Annabel shortly, but Sophie and Alex, thank you both a million times over.
Broughton Gifford is no more than 1/2 a mile from end to end, and the church was just a short walk (or drive in Steve’s rather lovely Bentley). 70 close friends and family squeezed in for moments of gentle splendour. The sun shone hard for this wedding and we walked back to the house for the rest of the day. Lazy hours passed with drinks flowing and laughter everywhere. Wonderful speeches from Ed and Mike (special thanks here to Mike as well), some tears from Annabel and Alex. Important words. Words with meaning and impact. Words that count.
Dean. A bit of a dude. A pretty handy footballer and he’s created a home that’s magazine-worthy from scratch. Kudos. It was a pleasure to meet you.
Annabel. You emailed me the day after to say it was like having an old friend by her side. That’s exactly how it felt from my side. A quite stunning woman who radiates elegance and effortless beauty. Funny, warm and welcoming from the off. Thank you so, so much. It was an utter honour to be there with you.
Together you’re a bit special. Your lives lie ahead. As we joked throughout the day – #blessed. And then some…..
