Oh Matty + Ben, talk about epic. Talk about endless love and endless laughter and endless emotion and endless moments that showed everyone here today what love means, and what two people who literally crossed oceans together can do.

We first spoke just ahead of Catherine + Nick’s wedding last year in Rutland, and you booked me before I’d even shot that but meeting you that day meant I knew today would be special. As we kept in touch over the months and you moved back to the UK that was just reinforced. Today brought lots of familiar faces from that wonderful day last year, and a whole new level of perfect. The weather, the location, the decor, the people, the food….all of it. Everything came together for you both - as well it might as you’d both faced down the pandemic in a new country and city, a matter of days before that first lockdown hit. It made you stronger, and I would wager unbreakable. You have the most amazing families and friends. They all came together for you here, and you threw one hell of a party.

This year, seriously. Pinch me again.

It is off the scale with the people I’ve been lucky enough to spend these days with. Massive thanks to Kate and everyone at the farm for their help, to Catherine + Nick for putting me in touch with Matty + Ben (and so good to see you again).
