Now this is how you do it. How about some wedding photography at Gate Street Barn – Fiona + Ciaran’s magical day deep in the Surrey countryside, and something wondrous this way comes.
We’re into September now. The intense heat of the summer has relented, but today was blessed with sea-blue skies, warm Autumn sun and two very special people. The laughter as I arrive to Fiona and her girls getting ready, with Ciaran and his chaps just the other side of the barn. The set-up of the venue full-steam ahead (and a huge thanks to India and Annabel at Gate Street for being so ace to work with again). Off to St Nicholas’s, Compton for an exquisite ceremony, and a diversion for Fiona, Ciaran and I to the outdoor wedding part of Gate Street to take advantage of some light and shade. Monet-esque no?
That soft late afternoon light soon folded into the speeches and dancing. The very definition of what a wedding should be. A couple utterly made for one another, surrounded by the people they love the most. Moments of gentle splendour result. It’s just one more wedding that showed me why I love my wedding photography at Gate Street Barn so much. I should also add a big thank you to Carol and her team at Tandem for superb food and drink once again!
I’ve been shooting at Gate Street for around 12 years now. It’s the very first venue that showed me the direction I wanted to go in, and the couples I wanted to book with me. I’m proud to be one of only 3 recommended photographers there. Weddings like this show me that it was the correct direction to take, and that I was right to stay on the bus. I have a soft spot for this place, more so than ever.
Thank you both for choosing me. It was the best of days. This is your story….
