Another fabulous day as a wedding photographer at Bury Court Barn – Roya + Adam welcomed in summer with a day full of mixed cultures with England and Iran coming together in the best way, note-perfect styling, huge smiles, and a whole heap of love. I’m proud to be a recommended photographer at Bury Court, and I’m at my happiest shooting in these sort of barns and venues.
I’d met up with Roya and Adam a few weeks earlier over a beer and in person they were as lovely as our email exchanges had suggested. Driving home I knew today was going to be quite unique, and so it proved. I don’t think I’ve photographed a single wedding at Bury Court that I haven’t loved, and it seems to get couples who are just the right fit for how I work. It gets even better when you’re working alongside superb suppliers, and thanks are due in a big way to Francesca, Helen and Ellie at Bury Court, to Claire on flowers, to Chris and Amy at W4 Wedding Films, and to Miles and his team at Barn’n’Render. All excelling in their own fields, and all a genuine pleasure to work with. Book any of these and you won’t go wrong.
Outdoor ceremonies at Bury Court are always a delight to shoot. Good light, lots of space and great backdrops from every angle. Today’s had Iranian elements throughout, a first for me but I hope not the last. It’s such an honour to see how other countries and cultures do things, and to see them in action here in England. This is a couple who light up when they see one another, and who clearly have one hell of a life ahead of them. That they chose me is the ultimate honour, and one that I am only too aware of each time I step into new lives on their wedding day.
Thank you, both, with all of my heart….
