Settle in, dear readers, for the wondrous day that gives us the Stone Barn wedding photography – Georgette + Will. A magnificent couple and a magnificent day in the heart of Cotswolds country for some Stone Barn wedding photography. Once again the absolute job of kings, and the people I am lucky enough to meet and work with. My heart swells.
After a short drive up from Hampshire (and one thing I love about working in the Cotswolds is how close it is) we begin at the lovely Wheatsheaf Hotel just a few miles from the Stone Barn. Georgette and her girls having hair and make-up done by the lovely Holly Andersen and a room full of laughter. Georgette is the epitome of relaxed and we chatted about a shared love of cycling amongst other things (she was fresh of a superb first century at this year’s Ride London). I am immensely lucky with my clients. I know that. Today was no exception.
Over to the Stone Barn and a waiting Will. The man has a smile that could have lit the massive indoor BBQ. He and Georgette met through work, both of them save lives for a living. These are people to be treasured. Guests gathered for the outdoor ceremony under dry skies. This summer has indeed been kind. The insane heat of the last few weeks had mercifully relented. Gentle words to each other. Promises made. Bonds made. For life. Married and together. The most perfect reception gave way to superb speeches and a whole lot of emotion. Gorgeous, soft light. Everything you’d want at a wedding, with the people you need.
For me, the treat of yet another couple absolutely made for one another. Amongst those closest to them we witness elegance, beauty, meaning, tenderness, laughter and love. Words are never enough here, so I’ll let the photography tell this story. Georgette and Will, thank you both beyond measure.
