London, you absolute beauty. Oh you gave us all of you for Caroline and Ryan’s fabulous day. The people, the venues, the weather. We had it all.

After another week of weather-watching the day dawned dry and warm. Train up to Waterloo and a short walk over to the Queen’s Chapel of the Savoy, the private royal chapel of the Queen. A quite magnificent building tucked away behind The Strand. A massive thank you to Peter and Thomas for all of their help, and for making me feel so welcome.

A short wait for Caroline to arrive with her maids, with Ryan safely inside. Jaws were about to drop, breath was about to be taken. Elegance, glamour and a whole lot of love walked down the aisle. A gorgeous ceremony and lovely readings, and an overwhelming sense of happiness radiated throughout. Finally they were married and a life together beckons.

From here it was a short walk up to the lovely RSA (where I’m proud to be a recommended photographer) for the rest of the day. A huge thank you to Rosalind and her team for all of their help and the most wonderful food and drink. I can’t wait to be back in July and October later this year! A reception in the atmospheric Vaults, and Caroline, Ryan and I slipped out for some couple photos around the local streets and down to Embankment Gardens. To say they smashed this bit would be an understatement. Spontaneous applause broke out as we walked back, and I couldn’t have been happier for this lovely, lovely couple.

Wonderful speeches, an easy evening melted into the first dance which was pretty electric. As I left I did so to the sounds of a party, laughter and a group of people throwing everything into celebrating what today was.

Caroline and Ryan live just 10 minutes from me, having moved to the next village down. When I met them a few weeks back to talk over the day I knew then we’d have a blast. I wasn’t wrong. That train journey home was filled with warm memories of a day that meant so much.

Caroline, Ryan. You rock. You made me feel such a part of your day. Your warmth, humour, love, elegance and wit shone hard all day long. You are meant to be together, that was obvious the minute I met you. Thank you for bringing me into your world and for showing me what you are.

As someone once said, “I swear I couldn’t love you more than I do right now, and yet I know I will tomorrow.”

I know that’s true for both of you. You have one hell of a life ahead of you.

This is your story…..
