Off. The. Scale.
Jem and Andy’s wedding. Quite literally off the scale. I get a bit giddy with weddings like this, and with people like them. Let me explain why….
The bits surrounding the wedding first. The venue. The Rectory at Crudwell. Cotswold beauty from start to finish. Elegance. A feeling of calm. Deeply beautiful floristry from Erin at Flowers by Passion. Hair by the lovely Stacey-Jade. Perfect weather. English skies. The details that Jem and Andy had worked so hard on. Details not for the sake of them, but details that were note perfect for their venue. Elegance is the word again.
That elegance continued throughout a gorgeous outdoor ceremony with a backdrop that could only be England in the summer. The weather Gods sure smiled today.
The wedding Gods smiled on me though by allowing me to be there with Jem and Andy. I photographed Jem’s sister’s wedding back in 2010 and it was a real joy to see Bex and Steve again, along with new addition to their family, Bronte. The third sister, Clem, was bridesmaid along with Bex. Clem was 12 when I last saw her, the same age as my daughter now. 17 now and stunning. Three sisters, all utterly lovely.
Time to talk about Jem and Andy.
Andy. Perhaps the driest sense of humour I’ve ever known. Perhaps the funniest groom speech I’ve ever heard. Cool without trying, damn him. Not many people could get away with that speech. Andy did, and then some.
Jem. Eye-wateringly lovely. A smile the size of the Cotswolds. An incredible eye for design and detail. Genuine passion and lioness-sized heart. If Carslberg made brides they’d be like Jem.
If Carlsberg made couples they’d be like Jem and Andy. Like I said, I get a bit giddy with weddings like this. I drove back to Hampshire with a smile almost as big as Jem’s.
Thank you both, thank you all. This is your day.
Looks like a really lovely day!☺
Simply Stunning images. What else can i say.
