What. A. Day. Read on for some Swallows Nest Barn wedding photography - Katy + Julian's incredible summer woodland wedding in Warwickshire, such a gorgeous county to photograph weddings in, and a quite stunning venue to hold one at....

This was right in the middle of a mad few weeks of weddings for me, so I decided to stay overnight in nearby Leamington Spa as I was shooting another up in Rutland the next day. To say that the weekend started with a bang is an understatement. I began with a quite visit to Julian and his groomsmen and family right in the middle of the city, and then over to Katy and her girls just a few minutes away. From the moment I arrived the atmosphere was one of laughter, excitement and the best kind of bustle. We all then headed over to the delightful Swallows Nest Barn, a venue I'm now lucky enough to be a recommended photographer at. One of Katy's best friends and bridesmaids, Lex, runs the venue and suffice to say she really knows what she's doing. The entire day was note-perfect and absolutely the sort of venue I adore working at. A massive thanks to the entire team there, and to Lex and all of Katy's bridesmaids for much laughter throughout the day.

The guests all walked up to the area for a beautiful woodland wedding, the weather held firm (that heatwave was still a few weeks away thankfully), and afternoon folded into the evening to the sound of a very happy group of people. Right at the centre were a truly marvellous couple. Katy, all elegance and smiles. Julian radiating a cool calm (fellow cyclist as well, so extra bonus points). As I left the wonderful venue to drive north for the next day I was smiling just as hard myself. Thank you both...
