Well hello London and I guess you’re here for some Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding photography – Carly + Martin’s incredible, intimate and wonderful wedding day full of huge, beaming smiles.
We go back to early July, and that weird limbo period of this never-ending pandemic where we were without limits but still had masks and strange rules around only being able to have a drink whilst sitting down, and under-cover and I still can’t believe it when I type it all out. What a strange time that was. No matter though, because these two showed me everything that a wedding could be once again and brought true joy to my heart.
Plans might have shifted from Surrey to London. Numbers might have been cut to make sure today would get over the line. None of it mattered. From the moment I arrived at the Landmark Hotel, it was like being hit in the face with a giant bear-hug of warmth, laughter and the very best people. Greeted like an old friend, and enveloped in the day.
Just wow. Carly, an absolute jaw-dropper of smiles in that Pronovias dress, dropping elegance bombs all over Marylebone. Martin rocking the hell out of his kilt and practically melting when Carly turned into the doorway to become his wife. Tinder might have lit the fuse, but they started the fire.
What a day though. Everything worked, and then some. Huge thanks to those at Old Marylebone Town Hall for negotiating those made rules with grace, humour and realism. The time back at the hotel was perfect and the staff there couldn’t do enough to help us all.
A brilliant day for a brilliant couple. This, dear reader, is what it’s all about.
Carly and Martin then. This is their story….
