Summer is here and what a time to be a Northbrook Park wedding photographer - Amie + Paul's day was absolutely on point from the word go and didn't let up for single minute.
Today was their third planned date as COVID yet again laid waste to their plans - you can see the original on the inside of Paul's suit jacket below - and bounced from December 2020, to June 2021 and a late swerve into August, a decision that proved very wise as we were restriction-free by then with meant the day they'd always wanted with some mad 'we can serve you a drink but you have to be sat-down crazy talk.
After a short visit to their house to meet Paul and his chaps, it was over to Northbrook Park to meet up with Amie and her most excellent bridesmaids for the prep, and then a short drive to the beautiful Holy Cross Church in Binsted. Today wasn't the usual Yann running things, instead a close relative of Paul's provided a wonderfully meaningful service. Back to Northbrook for the rest of the day and an afternoon of drinks, food and laughter before some absolutely superb speeches and a dancefloor being shown some serious attention after over a year of neglect.
I loved these two. Amie, absolutely radiant with zero ego. Paul, beaming from ear to ear all day. They clearly adore each other, and come alive when they're together. To be trusted to shoot days like this is immense, humbling and means so much. Throw in a brilliant group of friends and family who opened their hearts to the day, and it's all there. Just a blast from start to finish.
You smashed it. Utterly. This is your story....
