First time at Millbridge Court klaxon. Lauren and Lee klaxon. Ace wedding klaxon. Blue skies klaxon. All the klaxons!
So we start at Millbridge Court. Since attending their open evening last year I’d been looking forward to this day. Mainly because Lauren and Lee are so bloody lovely (and they were the very first couple to book their wedding at Millbridge), but also because it means I get to work with absolute smashers like Laura and Kellie from Millbridge Court, and with Lara from the peerless Kalm Kitchen. In an industry stuffed with the mediocre I cannot tell you how good it is to work with people like this. Lauren and Lee picked so very well. If you’re thinking about booking Millbridge then do. If you’re thinking about using Kalm Kitchen then do.
Ok, enough with the testimonials. Let’s talk about why we were there.
Lauren and Lee.
Lauren already there for hair and make-up and a smile the size of Frensham on her face. A smile that set in the morning and didn’t move. It’s probably still there if their honeymoon photos are anything to go by. A venue that filled with laughter as quests arrived. Lee downstairs with his groomsmen, all set for what would be a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Millbridge was built for days like this. If I thought Lauren’s smile was big before, it was nothing compared to the one she wore as she walked back down the aisle as a married woman.
That just set the scene for the rest of the day. Emotion everywhere, masses of love from and for friends and family. Amazing food and drink. A truly wonderful venue bathed in light. The most epic dancing I’ve seen.
And in the middle of it all, Lauren and Lee.
You can search until Christmas. You will not find a couple more made for each other. Lauren defines the word ‘fun’. Always, always on the verge of collapsing into laughter. Beautiful, with a smile that lights you up from 100 yards. Lee looking sharp as a tack. Warm, generous and a man always thinking of others before himself. This is a very special couple.
This was a very special day.
Lauren. Lee. This is your day…..
