Ready for some more Micro wedding photography in Surrey ? Rachel + Matt step forward for their moment in the sun ahead of their big day later this year. Moments of gentle splendour littered this day, with a groom who’d just recovered from the dreaded COVID-19. Safe to say not much could have kept Matt from seeing Rachel walk down that aisle towards him.
This is a very special couple, and one I can’t wait to work with again later this year at Gate Street Barn. They’re moulded from the same things, and born to meet. Easy company, generous, warm and utterly brilliant. Matt’s a fellow fan of the magnificent Explosions in the Sky, and like me also a fan of rugby. Rachel has a natural grace and elegance that’s a joy to photograph.
Put them together though, and magic happens. One of the unexpected upsides of these smaller micro weddings during the COVID-19 pandemic is that I get to spend a little more time with the couples, and we often have less time pressure for the couple shoots. It’s why the coverage has more couple shots as a percentage of the overall. I like this aspect of these days and I hope it’s something we can keep and build into timelines for the future.
For now though, as we wait for the tunnel to end and light to be restored to life, these days are good. Truly they are…
