London wedding photography at The Globe – Conac + Conor

So, after a short blogging hiatus, because SUMMER WEDDING MAYHEM, I’m back on it with the first of my early August weddings. All of the C’s with Conac and Conor, and all of the intense heat in London….London wedding photography at The Globe is coming right up.

We begin in South London, and at Conac and Conor’s flat (and yes, I did call Conac Conor. At least once. Despite my brain trying as hard as possible. Don’t even get me started on Cormac, the Best Man). With Conac was her bridesmaid and ace laugh, Laura. A huge thank you to both her and Cormac for their help! From the prep it was a quick Uber down to the Holy Ghost in Balham for a lovely ceremony.

Then came The Hottest Bus on Earth ™. Oh my word it was a bit warm. Water and fans were present and very much required as we motored over to the venue for the remainder of the day, the Swan at The Globe on London’s South Bank. Intimate and very cool. Quite literally as we all dived into the air-conditoned comfort and an escape from the 36c heat outside. Drinks flowed as the laughter echoed around. Fantastic food led into some genuinely touching speeches. Outside for the late evening sun with Conac and Conor, and then the party could start.

I first Conac and Conor when they had a pre-wedding shoot over at St Katharine’s Dock last month. I liked them immediately and their easy Irish humour showed itself again today. They have a wide and lovely group of friends, and incredibly close-knit families. To see them all come together from far and wide was beyond lovely. As a couple they’re utterly at ease together, and then some. Gentle moments shone through.

Beside me was my erstwhile videographer pal Aaron of the most excellent Reel Weddings. We’ve worked together a few times now and it’s always a giggle as we generally put the world to rights at some point. Like we did today. A huge thank you also to Brooke for second shooting for me at the church despite being VERY pregnant. Safe travels for your move back to Australia with the family!

The first of what was an epic and intense wedding month then, and today is all about Conac and Conor…..
