Are you sitting down for some new work from a Lains Barn wedding photographer – Jane + Chris will show you how it’s done for their incredible, emotional Autumn wedding in Oxfordshire…..
I’ve been shooting at Lains Barn for a few years now and it never fails to hit great heights. Much of that is down to couples like Jane and Chris. Relaxed venues attract people of a similar mindset, and today was no different. This is, of course, pre-COVID and I long for days like these to return as soon as they can. It’s to take all this for granted, right up until it’s not there any more. Insert large sigh here.
But to this day we go. One that started in the most perfect late Autumn sunshine, and that stayed for the entire day. From Jane’s prep just down the road from Lains Barn, to the most perfect ceremony, again just a few minutes away at All Saints in Lockinge. Exit to that perfect weather, and back to Lains for the party. Great food, great people and great speeches. The things that matter, and the things that all weddings need to really make them fly. Doing them in the cosiest of barns just makes them around 10% better.
Jane + Chris are my kind of people. Chris is a keen cyclist like me, Jane oozes class. Both are a mirror image of each other. Relaxed, funny and graceful, they’re clearly widely loved. Surrounded by this many guests that love was obvious. Having spent today with them it’s easy to see why that’s the case.
As the evening party was underway, with some very bold shapes being thrown, I made my quiet exit to the sounds of music and laughter. We didn’t know then that we’d soon see the end of that part of weddings, for now at least. But there is light at the end of a long, hard tunnel now, and light like these days helps see that end just a little more easily.
We’ll be back, along with days like this. In the meantime let’s bask in these memories….
