Can you say ‘sunny much’? If you can you’re in the right place. Because this is Gloria and Frederik and a wedding featuring the most sun of any wedding I’ve shot, here or abroad. If Cambridge Cottage at Kew Gardens was chosen hoping for a perfect Bank Holiday day then the Gods were certainly smiling on them for this one. All of the sun!
But enough about the weather (although it really was sunny, did I mention that?). More about why we were there. Gloria and Frederik. A marriage across continents, witnessed by people from just about every corner of the globe. Another day impeccably planned and executed by the awesome Louise and her assistant Natalie from Louise Perry Weddings. This was the last of 4 incredible weddings with them this year, and every one has been nothing but an utter treat – they are absolute professionals and their clients can see that. They are the best at what they do, simple as that. Need a planner? Book Louise.
Alongside us today was Peyton Events and the terrific Cecilia running front of house. Superb food, superbly done. A big thank you to the staff at Kew as well, particularly Stewart for whom nothing was too much trouble. Just thank you all.
And to Gloria and Frederik. On a day that started at their home in Earl’s Court, and ended with dancing after some wonderful speeches in the idyllic setting of Kew Gardens, I was struck again and again by how right they were together. Frederik lights up when he sees Gloria, and she melts into him in return. They are a fiercely intelligent couple, and they clearly bounce off one another with serious intent.
They fit. They just fit.
So this is the story of a couple who, well, just fit…..
