Oh London you absolute beauty. Every single time you deliver, every single time. And today, this Hampstead wedding photography with a couple like the fantastic Kate and Joe smashing it all over, and then out of, the park, how could it not. This was just the best of days with the best of people.
An early start for me, due to the August carnage at Waterloo, but that allowed me lovely walk across to Mill Hill in the late summer sun, warmth creeping in. A door opened to a house full of laughter and light. And of course Kate, with a smile that never left her face this day. Huge thanks to Eleni and Alison, bridesmaids, for their help and humour, and equally to Joe’s groomsmen, Paul and Jack, for the same later in the day. From Mill Hill to Hampstead, and the first of two churches today. I’d shot at the gorgeous St Mary’s in Hampstead before, and it’s simply stunning. Joe waiting for Kate was something to watch, and it’s safe to say his jaw was firmly on the floor as she walked in wearing her absolutely perfect Jesus Peiro dress (there’s a reason he’s my favourite wedding dress designer). Looking below will show you why.
Over to the second church of the day, this time St Stephen’s in Rosslyn Hill. Equally stunning and fully restored. A terrific group of friends and family made sure the warmth of this August day was matched by those at the wedding. That warmth continued into the meal and speeches. Tears. Laughter. Smiles. Emotions. All of them.
Kate and Joe then. Perhaps the very definition of elegance. Certainly the very definition of a love story. The morning after they’d met Joe woke and knew he felt different. 10 years later that hasn’t left. They’ve created a wonderful family with the gorgeous Bella and Felix. Today they showed those closest to them what that love meant, and how it gave them the foundations they needed. Strong, permanent, lifelong.
I loved them. I loved today. This is their story…..
