Sarah and Steve. And a wedding I’d been looking forward to in the many months since we’d met. A meeting that led them to buy their own Maine Coon cats after being smitten with Woody, aka Fatty Boom-Boom, my own little furry friend. I’m now insanely jealous that they have two of them!
A wedding, and a couple, that didn’t disappoint. It. Was. Immense. It was also Very Hot. From start to finish, and I mean both the weather and the all-round awesomeness of the day.
So we begin at Great Harwoods Farm in East Grinstead, and a conservatory full of activity. The always superb Gemma Sutton was hard at it and as I left for St Margaret’s in Ifield all I could hear was laughter. Laughter that continued as I arrived to greet Steve and his chaps. You could not wish to meet a warmer bunch than this. Beaming smiles all round and simply increased as Sarah arrived. This girl didn’t stop all day long. Smiles for miles and miles. Warmth from the sun and the people there to see them marry.
Gildings Barn next and a venue I love. It has real warmth and proper charm. On a day like it lends itself to a lazy afternoon of lazing around. Pretty much perfect then.
Like Sarah and Steve. They are quite simply a lovely, lovely couple. Easy to photograph. Funny. Warm. Witty. Easy-going. Very, very easy to like. Surround a couple like this with a wonderful group of friends and family and it’s a wedding you dream of shooting. Gildings Barn could not have been more perfect for them. Couples tend to choose venues that reflect their personalities and Gildings was exactly the right choice for this wedding.
Sarah, Steve. You rock. I loved every minute with you. This is your story…..
