Farbridge Wedding Photography – Beth + Richard’s wonderful winter wedding in the Sussex countryside. My first time at the lovely Farbridge and I hope not the last. A day amongst fellow cyclists Beth + Richard, and a life that has taken them from Hong Kong to Surrey, with surely many adventures to come. A huge part of what makes this job so very special is the connection I find with people, often over things like music, bikes, dogs. Things people care about and see someone like-minded. In an increasingly crowded market it’s these breadcrumbs of humanity that can be the difference. A little note that says ‘I am like you, we are the same’. This job is about people first and foremost. Beth + Richard absolutely nailed that part – to the extent that when we met up before the wedding Richard and I were wearing identical Rapha sweatshirts, right down to the colour…..
This connection translated, as it always does, to one between photographer and subject. It allows the camera to get out of the way, and for each couple to lean into their day knowing they can trust me behind the camera. I think the results speak for themselves, and as photographers we can be a little guilty of using too many words to define what you see here. So, enough words, and instead the images. Images of a day filled with laughter and love, and of a family showing those they love the most just who they are together. Thank you both, so much.
