West Sussex, you did us proud. Jess and Alex at the gorgeous Cowdray House, even more so. In a summer full of immense weddings, scroll down to see another which just had it all.
Jess originally found me via the magic of Instagram, and the lovely folk at Jacaranda Catering then also recommended me, and the booking was made! I’ll get an early thank you in to Phern and all of her team for their usual excellence and help, and for superb food and drink as always.
As I arrived the prep was already underway with the girls in excellent hands with Sarah Stacey who’d started the day with a yoga session for Jess and her bridesmaids, and alongside her was the equally excellent Arabella Hewitt…..so a suitably chilled room. Alex and his chaps were just across the hallway, with steamers in full effect for some last minute crease-removal. A Routemaster bus outside for the short trip down to Easebourne for the ceremony, with Alex travelling down in a beautiful Triumph TR3. Not to be outdone, Jess and her Dad followed behind in an equally stunning Rolls-Royce Dawn. All the love for these cars.
After a really lovely ceremony it was all aboard once again for the drive back to Cowdray House, and an afternoon under blazing skies. Drinks flowed, and the venue really can’t have looked any better than it did today. Perfection.
Speeches from the top drawer, masses of laughter from the guests and incredible food made for a wonderful wedding breakfast, and then the most gorgeous evening light. Light in which Jess and Alex lost themselves in each other amidst the grounds of the house. Oh and a first dance to die for….
So Jess and Alex, aka JoneseyJonesey. A love that grew as they travelled the world together and which, some 10 years later, led them to today. They are pretty much the perfect fit. I don’t really need to say that though, you can see it for yourselves below. They combine warmth, senses of humour, fierce devotion and a plan for their lives together.
Jess. Alex. Thank you so much for having me there with you. This is your story…..
