A question, dear readers – has there ever been a wetter day for Cotswolds wedding photography – Lucinda + Andrew braved pretty much all of the rain in the skies (and this is JUNE!) for most of their day. Did they care? No, no they did not. Umbrellas to the fore, they embraced everything that our increasingly odd weather can throw at us. We wedding photographers don’t get to choose the weather we shoot in, but we still need to get it all done. It helps when you have a couple like this. Elegant, funny, warm and deeply loved.
So we begin at Lucinda’s parents home and scenes of absolutely gorgeous perfect Cotswolds countryside. A short, puddle-filled, drive to Northleach where I’ve now shot a couple of times. Funny how some small villages and town pop up year after year. It’s the perfect Cotswolds village and I love the area beyond measure. We emerged from the heavy rains before the ceremony to dry skies. They weren’t to last, but someone was smiling down as we had enough time for a confetti run and couple shots outside in the beautiful gardens at home. This was a big wedding, and laughter echoed around the marquee. Speeches were right out of the top drawer, and the elegance Lucinda and Andrew exude was everywhere. I loved it all.
