October rolls around, and with it some Compton Verney wedding photography, and Wei + Peter’s fantastic day deep in the Warwickshire countryside. This was quite the day.
I drove up the day before, and this was the weekend of the mad fuel crisis. I had enough to get me there and back, but not to then get me down to West Sussex the day after this. The petrol Gods smiled at me, and good timing saw some fuel delivered as I tried my luck at a station. Never have I been so pleased to see a truck driver. This was an early start, with the morning wedding games kicking off at the same hotel I was in. Nice commute that. From there we were over to Peter’s parents house for the tea ceremony before a short drive to the stunning Compton Verney.
I’d met Wei back in 2016 when I shot Gloria & Eric’s wedding in Sorrento. Oh yes, dear reader, I have also had my share of destination wedding photography! When she got in touch pre-pandemic I was thrilled to be asked, and after a trio of moved because of said pandemic they finally got there. It was a beautiful day, and with family and guests from all over the world just a total joy to see people joining arms once more.
A huge thanks to Zade who was alongside me on video. Great fun to work with and a talented videographer.
And to Wei and Peter, my heart sings that you managed to finally have the day you wanted. Thank you for choosing me.
