Welcome to a record-setting slice of Cain Manor wedding photography - Tash + Si were the very first couple who fell to the first lockdown, and we all know how well that went for the next few months. Originally due to marry in early April 2020, we had to have 6 date changes in total before the magnificence you see before you finally happened (ironically literally 24 hours before the final shackles of restrictions were thrown off). I'd met up with Si and Tash in 2019 to talk through their plans and it seemed like a different lifetime when we finally got there. Bloody hell though, what a day they had.
I met Si 7 years ago when I shot his sister's wedding. Claire and Neil were there of course, along with now TWO small people. It's so damn good seeing people you spent an incredible day with down the years as they grow their families. I then met him again when I he was a groomsman at Chris and Louisa's wedding down in Sussex (another brilliant day) and it was equally great to see them again, also now with their own addition. I love the symmetry of it all.
Today was absolutely baking hot. Up in the 30's as the wedding fell smack in the middle of that mad 3 weeks of serious heat last summer. Many gallons of liquid were drunk in a vain attempt to ward it off. Cain Manor's decision to install air-con in the main room used for the ceremony/food/speeches/dancing was being thanked across the board. Solace was to be found.
What a couple though. Tash looked utterly perfect and shone like the sun. Si is always a total dude and today more so than ever. They'd been thrown some serious curveballs along their wedding journey and it was such a joy to see this day happen for them. I love my clients and I'm so lucky to have couples like this.
Hell of a day you two, hell of a day. This is your story....
