Oh my days. Oh. My. Days. Nadia and Tom. You absolute diamonds.
We’re at my local – the always magnificent Bury Court in the rolling Hampshire countryside. I love this place, and I love seeing the way the seasons run their hands over it. The changes that drift in and out. There’s always something fresh here. Always something to give. Always light to die for. Today was no different at all. Mainly because Nadia and Tom were front and centre. And then some.
Some thanks first. To Suzanne, Ellie and Tessa at Bury Court Barn. This was my last visit of 2016 and yet again it’s been a year of genuine love for weddings by these people. I adore working with them. They have the rare knack of making every couple feel like theirs is the only wedding there that year. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart once more, and I can’t wait to be back there with you all again next year.
To Nigel and his team at Jacaranda. We’ve worked together in various places this year, but mainly here at Bury Court. Every single time has been nothing but first-class, with a large side order of laughter. They excel at what they do. It’s that simple. Thank you all once again.
And to Nadia and Tom. From the moment Nadia and her maids arrived, and promptly burst into tears as they heard Sigur Ros playing, as it would be during ceremony, I knew we were in for some day. I really wasn’t wrong.
Nadia. Just the most perfect elegance. All the emotions. All of them. Staggeringly bright, utterly infectious. Thank you.
Tom. Dude. I told you that you didn’t need to worry about being photographed. I think I was right. Your love for Nadia blew me away. Monster sense of humour and dressed to kill. Thank you.
To you all. Yet another wedding where I drive away wondering how I got so lucky. Where I pinched myself to make sure these days are real. Yet they are so, so real. Made flesh by the couple at the centre.
Nadia and Tom. This is your story……
