Summer is here for some Botleys Mansion wedding photography and what was the most incredible day with Shamini + Mudit, ahead of a new life together in America.
Another wedding delayed by COVID, another wedding where we weren't sure until literally days ahead that we'd be making it. Flights from the USA. Travel from elsewhere around the globe. Somehow it all came together, and August gave us a fantastic wedding day in Surrey for these two brilliant people and their friends and families.
I guess you could call this a fusion wedding if you wanted to put a label on it. To me it was the best of both worlds - the tradition of the ceremony followed by the sort of glamour that Botleys Mansion does oh so well. Shamini absolutely killing each of the three outfits, and Mudit just effortlessly moving between his. Hell yes you two, how good did you look?
This was my first wedding at Botleys, and that means I've now shot at all three of the Bijou venues in the UK (Cain Manor and Notley Abbey being the other two) - all are brilliant to work at, and all bring something different to the table.
Today though was particularly special. I'd clicked with Shamini as soon as we spoke and knew it would be a cracking day. You can below that she didn't stop smiling all day, and lit the place up. The warmth of everyone there just added to the occasion and I had some great fun with the guests.
Another day, then, that stuck two fingers up at the pandemic, and one which was bookended by moments of genuine grace and splendour. Another wedding where I pinch myself at how lucky I am to have somehow ended up with this as my job.
Thank you both so much. This is your story....
