Day two of two in London. And from the leafy greens of Kew via an overnight stay in a nearby hotel, the urban excellence of Bethnal Green. Today was all about LJ and Russell. I’ll get this out of the way right now – they are bloody brilliant and this wedding was a blast from start to finish.
So we begin the day where we’d end it – at the sublime Town Hall Hotel and Apartments. Dripping in history, modernised but in no way forgetting the heritage within. Just lovely, and pretty much the perfect fit for LJ and Russell. Cool, quirky and with a little edge. Hell yes. Made even better by having the most excellent Daniel from Shoot Me Now films alongside me for the day. Brilliant videographer, lots of fun. A big thank you here from me. A thamk you for the excellent hairstyling from Cat Legg as well.
A beautiful room for the ceremony, the old council chamber. You can’t help but think of the meetings and decisions that took place in there all those years ago. Repurposed for the modern era and then some. Loved it and the whole look and feel of it.
A feeling of love wrapped itself around this day. There’s something very special about how LJ and Russell complement each other. Unique even. Easy to photograph and a real pleasure to work with. No drama. No stress. Just the right people in the right place watching the right couple do the right thing. Add in some gorgeous light inside, a softly lit day outside, speeches from the top drawer and an elegantly realised first dance and you’ve got the lot.
A wedding planned. A life together ahead. Adventures to be had. Times together to be planned. Futures to be decided on. Lives to be moulded into one.
That is LJ and Russell.
And this is LJ and Russell…..
