I have only this to say to every one of the magnificent couples who put their faith in me to shoot the biggest day of their lives in 2018. To all of you – wow. To all of you – thank you.
To every one of you – you carved out a place in my heart for always. For that I will be forever grateful.
In other words, you absolutely smashed it. So very much.
2018 was a year of the coldest winter, and the hottest summer. Of Geraint winning the Tour. Of the World Cup and the glimpse of glory. Of political madness both here and abroad. Of retail carnage on the high street. Of the Gatwick drones that might never have been.
More than any of those though, 2018 was the year of you all. Your stories burning into memory. Intense love, beaming smiles, echoing laughter, tear-stained faces. From Somerset to Essex. From Sussex to Hertfordshire. From London to Hampshire via Surrey. From the Isle of Wight to Oxfordshire. From all corners of the world you brought people together.
You made this year. Your stories charged both atmospheres and glasses, and smashed doors open across the country. You gathered the people you love and asked them to witness what you became as a couple. It was the greatest privilege to be there with you all and to see it all unfold. The emotion was legion, and will never be forgotten by those who were there.
I am truly lucky to have done so. To you all thank you so much, with all of my heart.
To those of you reading this who’ve already booked me for 2019 and beyond. It’s going to be a scream.
