This. Was. 2019. My best wedding photography of 2019 in two formats. For the video lovers, it’s all here in 191 seconds. For the more old-school amongst you, the images are below.
I do these in January because I’ve had time to take stock of what the year was. It was another year of the most incredible people opening their hearts, lives and doors to those they love the most, and entrusting me to document it all.
I remain in awe of being able to do this as a so-called ‘job’. Insert all of the superlatives here. A year that took me across the country once again. From Somerset to Sussex. From London to the Cotswolds. Across all of the seasons and with all of the weather. The hottest of summers, and the wettest of autumns. From barns to hotels to homes to gardens. A year that gave us World Cup glory in the cricket, and oh-so-close in the rugby. A year that saw my daughter finish school and start her college career. A year where Brexit was finally resolved and where the election laid out our futures – maybe our country can stop tearing itself apart now, for we all share the same hopes and dreams.
Within all of that though, are these people, these couples, these bloody brilliant pairings. Only when the year gives pause am I able to sit and drink it all in, and 2019 was a superb vintage.
When the year is rolling it’s hard to stop and take stock. Once again I sit here reminded of what a year it was, and that’s all down to the people you see below. Without fail they made it easy. The laughter, the tears, the smiles, the dancing, the emotion, the love. It’s all there.
To you all, I cannot thank you enough. For finding me, for booking me, for having me there and sharing the most momentous of days.
2020 is already underway, and to those of me who will see yourselves in this post next year, thank you so much. It’s going to be a blast….
