How about a big slice of wow? That’ll be the first of two incredible days with Grace and Andrew at the majestic, insane, wonderful Aynhoe Park. This place is NUTS!
The first of two blog posts, this one is all about the intimate first day. Yes it rained for most of the weekend, but if there’s a venue you could pick for a wet wedding, Aynhoe would be it. Add a couple like Grace and Andrew along with some brilliant guests and you’re all set.
After a fairly slow drive up through the Easter Bank Holiday traffic I arrived to see the venue ready. A massive thank you to Romaine and her team for all of their help across the two days, to the amazing house butlers for whom nothing is too much trouble, and to all of the staff at Aynhoe. Grace and Andrew arrived together for what was to be a beautifully intimate ceremony in the library with just the closest of family there with them. That lead into an afternoon tea before a groomsmens’ dinner for Andrew and Grace leading her girls off into the village for a meal at a local restaurant. Just look at the smiles on them.
Grace knocking it out of the park in Alexander McQueen, Andrew killing it in a perfect suit alongside her. A gentle ceremony with the people most special people looking on. Laughter filling the salon as more guests arrived for the evening and following day – and so much more to come from that one very soon. Smiles and greetings that just lit this incredible venue up….
So feast your eyes on this first day below. There’s a whole lot more on day two ahead and many more words to write about Grace and Andrew. Think of this as the starter to the main course coming up.
Like I said. Wow…..
